Dog Door Specialists Across Portsmouth & Hampshire
A dog door offers real freedom — for your pet and for you. No more waiting by the back door, no more barking to be let out, and no more muddy paw prints while you're at work. With the right dog door professionally installed, your dog can access the garden safely whenever they need to.
Dog doors require larger apertures than cat flaps and careful consideration of the door or panel type. Our glazing expertise means we can fit through most surfaces safely and securely — and we'll source the right product from trusted brands to suit your dog's size, your door type and your budget.

Installation Surface Types
We fit dog doors through a wide range of door and panel types. Here are the most common surfaces we work with:
UPVC Doors
We cut into the solid UPVC panel section at the base of your door — the most common fitting approach for dog doors in UK homes.
Double Glazing
We remove and replace the existing sealed unit with a new toughened safety glass pane incorporating the dog door aperture — fully sealed and weatherproof.
Triple Glazing
More complex but entirely achievable. We have the experience and equipment to handle triple glazed units, maintaining your home's thermal efficiency.
Wooden Doors & Panels
Traditional timber back doors and garden side gates are ideal. We cut a precise, clean aperture and finish it to a professional standard.
UPVC Solid Panels
Reinforced solid UPVC panel sections are fitted where the aperture requires additional rigidity to support the frame of a larger dog door.
Single Glazing
Older properties or outbuildings with single glazed panes can be fitted safely — we handle the glazing work cleanly and replace with toughened glass.
Choosing the Right Size Dog Door
Dog doors come in a wide range of sizes — from small terrier-sized flaps through to extra-large doors for giant breeds. During our free survey, we'll measure your dog and the door and recommend the correct aperture size. As a general guide:
Small Breeds
For dogs such as Chihuahuas, Jack Russells, Miniature Dachshunds and other small terriers. A correctly sized, snug aperture keeps heat in and gives your small dog easy, comfortable access.
Medium Breeds
Suitable for Spaniels, Beagles, Border Collies, Bulldogs and similar breeds. This is the most popular size range in UK homes and we carry a wide selection from all major brands.
Large Breeds
For Labradors, German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, Weimaraners and other large dogs. We source heavy-duty doors designed to stand up to daily use and built to last.
Extra Large Breeds
Great Danes, Mastiffs, Newfoundlands and other giant breeds require specialist solutions. We'll confirm the correct size and the structural suitability of your door or panel before proceeding.

🛡 Toughened Safety Glass
Wherever glass is involved in your installation, we use toughened safety glass as standard. This meets British safety standards and gives you complete confidence in the integrity of your door or window after fitting.
🔧 Reinforced Panels
Where we fit through a UPVC panel section, we use reinforced materials to ensure the panel remains structurally sound, strong and secure after the aperture has been cut.
⌛ Lead Time
Please allow 10 to 15 working days from your survey to completed installation. This time is used to source your chosen dog door and prepare any glazing or panel materials required for the job.
❌ What We Don’t Fit
We do not install through fire doors, communal building entrance doors or cavity walls. We will always advise you honestly if your property falls into one of these categories — and we won't proceed with the work in those cases.
